Trainers & Facilitators

We believe child sexual abuse can be prevented by increasing adults’ knowledge and skills. Adults and organizations can help prevent child sexual abuse through professional development and school-based curricula.

Adult Programming

❋ Be a participant:

Build your individual knowledge base by taking a 2-hour training session on any of our 12 Adult Responsibility Project (ARP) topics.

❋ Become a Facilitator

Become a Facilitator in any of our 12 Adult Responsibility Project (ARP) topics. These virtual 6-hour trainings (typically delivered over 3 days) equip Facilitators with the knowledge and skills to lead a 2-hour training for colleagues within their organization at no additional cost.

    • Curriculum Directors

    • Camp Counselors

    • SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Staff and Teams

    • Prevention Specialists

    • Advocates or program educators from agencies that work directly with schools and youth

    • Trainers from social service agencies who provide ongoing professional development for staff

    • A Facilitator Guide that includes current research and statistics, trauma-informed practices, and a facilitator outline/script

    • Access to updated presentation materials for your topic

    • A copy of the Participant Guide for distribution

    • Ongoing support from the HRP Team as needed

  • Facilitators who wish to lead trainings outside of their organization must obtain a license. We are happy to assist you through that process. Please use the Contact button to reach out for more information.

Youth Programming

❋ Become an Healthy Relationships Project (HRP) Facilitator

We currently offer two trainings designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the curriculum of their choice:

Healthy Relationships Project Facilitator Training

This 4-hour virtual training (delivered over two days) prepares Facilitators to implement:

  • Care for Kids (Pre-K–Grade 2)

  • We Care Elementary (Grades 3–6)

  • SAFE-T (Grades 7–8)

Project SELFIE Facilitator Training

This 3-hour virtual training (delivered over two days) equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement a middle and high school curriculum focused on safe online interactions.

    • Teachers

    • Health Teachers

    • School Counselors

    • Camp Counselors

    • SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Staff and Teams

    • Advocates or program educators from agencies that work directly with schools and youth

    • Prevention Specialists

  • All materials are purchased separately. Once purchased, participants receive access to:

    • Curriculum materials for purchased grade levels and topics:

      • Care for Kids

      • We Care Elementary

      • SAFE-T

      • Project SELFIE

    • Online access to student materials in English, Spanish, and Portuguese

    • Online access to training materials for families, educators, and school staff, including:

      • PowerPoints

      • Scripts

      • Newsletters

    • Ongoing support from the HRP Team as needed

  • We also offer advanced trainings for individuals who want to both implement curriculum themselves and train others to facilitate.

    This 6-hour virtual training (delivered over three days) prepares Trainers to facilitate:

    • Care for Kids (Pre-K–Grade 2)

    • We Care Elementary (Grades 3–6)

    • SAFE-T (Grades 7–8)

    Project SELFIE Trainer Training

    This 4-hour virtual training (delivered over two days) equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement the middle and high school curriculum on safe online interactions and train future Facilitators.
