Care For Kids

Designed for young children, typically ages 4–7

Care for Kids is a developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed sexual abuse prevention curriculum designed for young children. Research on brain development shows that early childhood is an important time for developing empathy and social-emotional skills. Learning to recognize and express feelings, understand personal boundaries, and build healthy relationships gives children important skills they can carry with them as they grow.

Care for Kids introduces simple, age-appropriate concepts through engaging, interactive lessons. Each unit reinforces key prevention messages through circle time, a picture book, and an activity, helping children learn through conversation, play, and hands-on experiences.

Care for Kids includes six units:

  • Asking for Help: Identifying Trusted Adults

  • Feelings

  • Bodies

  • Caring for Babies

  • Asking for Permission

  • Review

The curriculum also introduces children to anatomically correct language for body parts and helps them begin learning how to set, communicate, and respect boundaries.
